FEDC Aims to Expand Healthcare Services in City with Incentive

Forney Medical Center (002)

In an effort to attract and expand healthcare services within the City of Forney, the Forney Economic Development Corporation (FEDC) is offering an incentive program for new and expanding healthcare operations.  In order to qualify for the incentive, medical offices seeking to locate in Forney must contact the FEDC for an application and receive approval by the FEDC Board.  Applicants could receive up to $25,000 with the program being tied to the creation of at least five new jobs.  Qualifying services for this incentive include doctor’s offices, dental practices, urgent care, surgery centers, outpatient therapy and medical support services, such as labs and imaging centers.  Current practices seeking to expand operations in Forney are open to apply, as well.  Each application is considered on a case-by-case basis.

“Forney has strong assets to grow in healthcare amenities.”, said FEDC Executive Director Warren Ketteman. He added, “We have a skilled labor pool of medical professionals and are able to aggressively expand in diversified services that will contribute to our community’s growing population and quality of life.”

Interested parties are encouraged to contact Stewart McGregor at the Forney Economic Development Corporation to obtain more information and receive an application.  The FEDC can be reached at (972) 564-5808, or smcgregor@cityofforney.org.
